Gameplay

Guide each cultist to collect enough light to ascend. Each cultist requires 5 light crystals. Each level has a target for the number of cultists that must ascend.

Lore

In the newWorld, money has ceased to exist, digital consciousness has solved hunger and survival, and physical space has become more about simplicity than art. But as society evolves, it may revolve all the way around, and in this future, all that matters is the search for light—for it may lead to enlightenment.

The final cultists of this sole ideology have entered worlds where the last lights in existence remain. However, in worship of their higher power, they have committed their sights to the ground and may only walk as far as the eyes can see. Control the perspective and environment to guide these believers towards the light they seek, and help them ascend to the promised land.

This is tons of fun and a well executed concept. I really like that I can just make the cultist thing giggle in order to give me more time to think haha.

I tried the browser version which worked fine for me :D

Appreciate the post-jam comments—fun to hear you enjoyed that little easter egg!

Oooh I actually thought it was a mechanic (like, if u need more time to think you can click them).
I do like it either way though.

It was going to be a mechanic for when you needed to time entry onto an auto-rotator. But we never got that far!

Everything comes together well for a solid puzzle experience. Especially loved the UI, sounds, and music. The visuals were effective, and the puzzles escalated in difficulty well. Good game and well polished! Would have liked a fast forward button in some situations.

That's great feedback. I did consider a fast-forward button during development and, if I'm remembering correctly, I think Lemmings had one for the same reason.

I think the download links don't work? I tried clicking on all of them and it gives me some sort of error, not sure what's going on there

Hi RonnocJ,

Could you double-check to see if this issue persists with other games on Itch? I tried to download the Windows version of the game just now and it went okay. Alternatively, trying another browser may work as sometimes there's a caching issue.

They all seem to work. I do remember someone had issues in Firefox last jam. Not sure why that would be tho!
